Infopost!

I don't have anyone new but given that we have some players who weren't around when they first showed up:

Liam Kincaid ([personal profile] firstofitskind):

* is from the late-90s/early 2000s TV series "Earth: Final Conflict". If you enjoy series that start off compelling but then repeatedly drop the ball and turn in to a ridiculous mess of disappointment, have I got a show for you.
* is 7 and the town sheriff. (no, that number is not a typo.)
* is from Washington, DC.
* is from a world where alien influence has been manipulating human evolution for millions of years, and one of those species (the Taelons) arrived on Earth to much public fanfare somewhere around 2008.
* is two-thirds human, one-third an alien species called the Kimera (yes, that's how I got my name).
* grew from infancy to adulthood in the span of about an hour.
* has the genetic memories of all three of his parents. So from his human parents he gets the stuff that allows him to function as an adult in human society, from his alien parent he got... the collective knowledge of millenia of galactic exploration and genetic meddling.
* has the ability to shoot purplish-pink glowy bursts of energy from his hands called shaqarava. These are usually destructive or defensive, but can also be used to heal. When they're not activated, they show up as a reddish triangular mark on his palms.
* can also transfer emotions/thoughts/energy to another person via touching them palm-to-palm in something called a Sharing. This is why he's generally not a touchy person unless you're a close friend.
* used to work for the Taelons, and ALSO for the Resistance that wanted the Taelon influence off of Earth.
* spent a year as pure consciousness after unsuccessfully trying to unite the dying Taelon and Jaridian species into something new. It didn't work, he 'died', and a ship full of space vampires that had been hibernating for millions of years woke up.
* has corporeal form again (... obviously) and is hanging out in Fandom in order to to experience wtf life is like when you're not at the centre of a complex intergalactic political struggle.
* lives with the love of his life [personal profile] arboreal_priestess and as of a year ago was formally adopted into the pantheon of the talking mice that worship her family and given the name the God of Distant Stars.

Bobby Drake ([personal profile] reicicled:

* is from a little group of Marvel comics superheroes known as the X-Men.
* is 17 and a senior.
* is from Long Island, New York.
* is time-displaced, and not just in the usual "it's a different year back home" way that happens in Fandom. He's actually from the 60s, and had been brought forward to the modern day a few months before arriving in Fandom.
* (which means, yes, he'd been hanging out somewhere where an older version of himself existed. They both found this super weird.)
* may or may not actually be from the timeline he thinks he is.
* is aware of (and vaguely annoyed by) the fact that another version of him used to go to school here. It's not the version of himself that he knows, though.
* (Also the former-FH-student Bobby makes the occasional guest appearance when we run reunion-type events, which means eventually I'll have to play with myself again not dirty.)
* is a mutant with ice powers! He naturally runs a bit colder than your average human, so you're welcome to have your character take note of that.
* is gay, which he'd been repressing for a while but is now pretty open about, even if he has no idea how to go about the whole dating thing.
* is outgoing and friendly, but at the same time also kind of neurotic and high-strung.
* needs to get out more, which I am gonna do my best to remedy.

Juillenne "Jules" Milone ([personal profile] legionqueen):

* is from Kendare Blake's Three Dark Crowns series, specifically from just after the end of the second book. And I'm probably going to be terribly, terribly jossed when the fourth book comes out this fall.
* is 16 and a sophomore.
* has heterochromia - her left eye is green, her right eye is blue. I know the icons don't reflect this, but the PB was perfect otherwise, so we're pretending.
* is from a little island called Fennbirn, where most people are born with specific magical "gifts".
* is the most powerful naturalist (that is, people who can control/communicate with plants and animals) in several generations.
* has a familiar named Camden, who is a mountain lion cat.
* had her future read by an oracle soon after she was born, and it was Not Good, because she...
* is something called 'legion-cursed', which is what the people of Fennbirn refer to anyone born with more than one gift. It's a curse because the unfortunate person usually ends up going insane.
* had her other gift bound by her mother using "low magic" (spells, bound in blood). That binding is beginning to unravel but has not yet fully been broken.
* as such, has also begun to display what will eventually be a full-blown war-gift: telekinesis, as well as the ability to 'read' movement in a fight and predict what her opponent will do.
* might be at the centre of a prophecy that foretells the end of the current line of Fennbirn's queens, and the rise of a new one. Hence the username.
* also needs to get out more. I've failed at students lately, augh.

Kimera:

* is 36 and is an appliance wizard for Large Electronics Retailer.
* is from the Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada.
* is therefore on Pacific Time with a schedule that is reasonably consistent these days, actually.
* tends to rely on SP since despite the aforementioned reasonably consistent schedule, retail hours don't always mesh with regular-person hours.
* hangs out in Discord a lot.
* is one of your friendly neighbourhood admins!
