The Nest, Baltimore, Monday Evening
Feb. 25th, 2019 11:38 amVerity had gone out for a run and Liam knew better than to follow her. Not because he he had any doubts about his ability to keep up, but because he too was feeling a little crowded-in by all the people staying at the Nest. Deciding to move in together with Verity was one thing, suddenly ending up moving in with half the people he knew in Baltimore? Another thing altogether. Some time alone would be a welcome change, and so he'd volunteered to go do a little surveillance in Sunil and Rochak's neighborhood, see if that Covenant sweep had done any damage.
He'd found himself a spot in an abandoned building with a good view of Gingerbread Pudding, and settled in for a couple of hours of waiting and watching.
A couple of hours of nothing, as it turned out. Yeah, there were a number of disappointed customers who'd approached the shop only to read the sign on the door explaining they were closed for inventory. But no sign of Margaret or anyone else who looked to be a Covenant agent actively snooping around.
On the one hand, that was good news; if no-one was looking for the Madhura brothers, that meant their cover likely hadn't been blown. On the other hand, it meant they still had no solid leads on the enemy.
( With a sigh, Liam packed up his surveillance equipment and got ready to head back to the Nest. )
