MHA #6, Tuesday Morning
At some point during the night, Liam had gone from small and furry and curled up on one corner of the bed (and yet still somehow taking up half of the space), to human-sized and no longer furry and curled around Verity.
Being a cat had been... interesting. But it was nice to be back in his own skin.
He figured since breakfast had been so rudely interrupted last time, he ought to give it another try. So once again there were pastries, and coffee being made, and Liam was sitting at the kitchen table as his own cup of tea steeped.
[ooc: for the giiiiirlfriend.]

"Mornin', mice," she mumbled, shuffling into the kitchen and heading directly for the cupboard. "Mornin', Liam." She got all the way through popping open the can on tuna before her brain tapped her on the shoulder and pointed out that she'd missed a crucial detail.
"Liam?!"

The mice were gonna be so disappointed. Even with unexpected tuna.

"Better," Liam agreed, with a serious look that lasted all of two seconds. And then those hands with the aforementioned thumbs were cupping Verity's face and bringing her closer for another kiss because god, he'd missed this.

Also, there was a post for thatYES. While cat-shaped Liam had been perfectly nice to cuddle with in the evenings, she'd missed this, lips and hands and arms and--had she complimented him on his chest ever? Because it was a really great chest. She appreciated being held against it just like this.
"You should have woken me up," she chided, when they broke to breathe. "I would have woken up for this."
...Probably.

You know. After staring at him, dumbfounded, for several minutes.

"I, uh..." he mumbled something under his breath.

"Yessssssssssssssss?" she asked, propping her chin in her hands and watching him. Like a hawk.

"... I caught a bug."
It had involved a very impressive leap off the couch, okay.

She hadn't been expecting that, no.

"There was a bug. Very loud, very annoying. Flying around the apartment." Liam explained. "I caught it." And then some of the mice had eaten it, of course, because while Liam may have been cat-shaped, he wasn't going to eat a bug, thank you.

"So, they celebrated your introduction to murder. This sounds very normal," Verity said, lips twitching.

"I'm sure there will be new regalia now for me to admire, so thank you for that, Liam," Verity sighed, trying to sound put out.
She was far too amused to really make that work.
