MHA #6, Sunday Morning
Over the last few months, Liam had fallen back on a number of old habits, including the one where he only bothered with sleeping the few hours a night that his body required. Instead, he kept busy doing other things, including regular runs around the island. He was on his way back to the apartment for a shower after one such run just now, as a matter of fact.
After that (and making sure the mice- and squirrel!Verity- had breakfast), it was probably tea and a breakfast sandwich at the Perk. What an exciting life he led.
[ooc: for the wiiiiiife.]

Thankfully (?), things didn’t get that far, and instead he let out a long, low, satisfied groan as she slid down onto him.

"Now move with me," she said in a low sigh, hands coming up to cup his face, bracketing it with her thumbs.

But none of them were like Liam. None of them had ever learned her so intimately that they felt like an extension of her with every shift, every thrust, every groan of contentment.

But those were all learning experiences, and Liam took great pride in applying each lesson as they went. After all, what good was a pleasurable experience if he couldn't make sure that the person he loved above all others was riding that high (pun intended, heh) right there with him?

There shone one woman, and none but she
The line of poetry sprung to mind, bidden by the sight of her before him.
“Beautiful,” he murmured, leaning forward to press a kiss to the top of one breast, then the other.

They hadn’t even gotten to the shampoo part of the original plan, he realized, letting out a breathy laugh. Not that he was complaining at all.

“You and me both,” Liam agreed, continuing to gently stroke her hair.

Doing it while cuddled against his chest probably wasn't the intimidating power move she thought, either.

He sounded terribly, terribly put out by this, yes.

Not precisely true, Verity could lie quite well when the situation warranted it, but this was definitely not one of those times.

And with that lie, they were lucky the whole building wasn't leveled by lightning.
