MHA #6, Late Tuesday Morning

Apparently, Fandom had decided that just-shy-of-two-weeks was plenty of time for Liam to be a cat, because at some point Tuesday morning, he found himself changed back. Thankfully for his dignity, said transformation did not take place when he was out and about in public, but rather while he was home at Verity's apartment. Really, his only complaint was that it had woken him up from a ~~cat-nap~~ rather sound sleep.

Which, speaking of... apparently spending so long as a cat meant there was a little bit of a lingering influence, as normally he would have been up and about for hours now. But instead, all he did was slip on a pair of boxers, and then crawl back into the bed to snuggle with Verity properly

"S'a good word for it," Liam agreed. A beat, and then, "can I collect on one of those stripteases now?" he asked. As much as he liked seeing her wear his shirts, it had been two weeks, and he'd really rather see her out of it right about now.

"Do you really wanna striptease?" Verity asked, working her way up his throat to his jawline. "Or should I skip the teasing and get right to the stripping?"

Because, again. Two weeks.

"I do..." Liam admitted. "But maybe- maybe we could save that one for a bit later," he added.

"I could hum and you could take the shirt off me?" Verity offered. "Compromise?"

"Works for me," Liam said, laughing.

Verity grinned at him, starting to hum Beautiful, Dirty, Rich by Lady Gaga, hips on the bed shifting to the beat she could hear in her head. She rolled over onto her back, arms coming up first to encircle his neck and bring him in, and then reaching up to the headboard. Not to reach for a weapon this time, but to give him room to strip the tee off.

Did he recognize the song? No. Was that the important part? Also no.

He grabbed hold of the shirt's hem, lifting it up and over her head.

And then Verity was lying on bed, wearing a pair of tiny jersey boy shorts and a soft smile all for Liam. "This about what you had in mind?" she asked, innocent.

"We're getting there," Liam said, giving her an appreciative once-over. "But I think you could be wearing a little less."

So could he, mind.

"I'm not the one who got out of bed to put more clothes on," Verity pointed out with a haughty sniff. "But I'm willing to let you help me lose a little more, I guess."

She just really liked his hands on her. And said hands, pulling her shorts off and then going exploring? Even better.

"You guess," Liam echoed, hands sliding under the waistband of those shorts. "In my defense, I was trying to actually have something resembling a lie-in." You know, that state you've been working on getting Liam to appreciate for months now, Verity?

Though for the record he was also enthusiastically on board with morning wake-up sex, thank you.

Hey, those two activities could be combined into her absolute favorite mornings, where morning wake-up sex then turned into a proper lie-in. Which could even turn back into another interlude of wake-up sex a few hours later.

"What, you didn't think you could enjoy a lie-in without boxers on?" Verity asked, drawing her legs up and out of the shorts. "Worried something might distract you?"

Well, he didn't normally sleep naked, and doing so after turning back from a cat had just seemed especially weird.

"Well, I'm not going to name any names, but there is someone in this room who has been known to be kind of grumpy if they don't get enough sleep..." he said teasingly.

Neither did Verity, though hers came more from growing up with mice and siblings, neither of whom respected privacy much.

"I know," Verity said with a sigh. "And, look, Liam, I'm not saying it's a problem, exactly? But still, you might wanna think about working on being sweeter-tempered in the morning."

It's okay, Liam. Nobody thought you were dating her for her humor.

And oh look, the boxers were no longer part of this equation.

"Maybe I just need the right incentive."

"I can think of a couple of things that'll perk you right up."

...That was accompanied by a very deliberate glance, yes.

And then she was reaching for him, over making jokes. "God, Liam, I missed you so much." She pulled him for a kiss, reaching for his hands to place them over her body.

Liam kissed back fiercely, his hands roving as he did so, mapping the curves of her body.

Verity reached for one of his hands, pulling it away from her skin just long enough to press her palm against his. She wanted him to feel just how much she needed him, just how badly she ached.

Being able to talk wasn’t the only form of communication he’d missed over the past two weeks.

I love you, he sent back, emotion mingled with thought as he eased inside her.

Verity smiled up at him, until she needed to close her eyes and moan instead, pressing her knees against his hips. "Yes," she gasped.

God, but he loved that smile.

"S'what you need?" he asked, leaning in to capture her mouth with his again. It was what he needed too, to feel himself surrounded by her.

Verity didn't answer. Kissing Liam took priority over responding to the question they both knew the answer two. Yes, she needed him, needed this, needed to feel him way far deep inside of her. Her tongue traced around his mouth and she knew that this one round wouldn't be enough.

Not after two weeks.

Shit. She was solidly addicted to Liam Kincaid.

Well... there were worse problems to have, certainly?

And Liam was all too willing to enable this particular addiction, truth be told. They did have all day. Time for slow and sweet, and hot and heavy...

Right now, the mood was definitely leaning towards the latter, though.

If he tried for slow now, she really would pull a weapon on him, dear god.

She whispered filthy things in his ear keeping up a litany of all the things she wanted him to do to her, all the fantasies she'd entertained herself with these past weeks, the way he made her body ache and clench around him.

This was gonna be fast all right, but oh exactly what she needed.

To take the edge off all right.

She didn't have to worry; their bodies weren't the only things in sync right now. Slow was the last thing on his mind.

And that list she was reciting was very long and very detailed, but he was bound and determined to cross as many items off it as physically possible.
