MHA #6, Late Tuesday Morning

Apparently, Fandom had decided that just-shy-of-two-weeks was plenty of time for Liam to be a cat, because at some point Tuesday morning, he found himself changed back. Thankfully for his dignity, said transformation did not take place when he was out and about in public, but rather while he was home at Verity's apartment. Really, his only complaint was that it had woken him up from a cat-nap rather sound sleep.

Which, speaking of... apparently spending so long as a cat meant there was a little bit of a lingering influence, as normally he would have been up and about for hours now. But instead, all he did was slip on a pair of boxers, and then crawl back into the bed to snuggle with Verity properly

"Good point," Liam admitted. "Wonder if they'll be pleased or upset that I've changed back?"

[arboreal_priestess]

"I mean, it's more proof of your divinity or whatever," Verity drawled. "And now that you can talk, you can say godly pronouncements and the like. They love that." She chuckled sleepily. "Poor Alex. His mice are going to point out that he never turns into anything."

"Or whatever," Liam agreed.

If Alex wanted to turn in to something, really all he had to do was spend a couple of months in Fandom and it was bound to hit him eventually.

Alex was pretty certain he didn't want to turn into anything, but he'd keep that thought in mind. Thanks, Liam, really.

"Hey, if you don't wanna play naughty priestess times..." Verity said, snickering.

"I should think you'd know that I'm always up for naughty anything when it comes to you," Liam retorted.

Verity turned in his arms to face him and pulled him in for a good-morning-and-also-I-missed-you-like-crazy kiss. "Maybe we'll add that to the day's agenda."

"Gonna be a busy day," Liam noted. He didn't sound particularly put out by this prospect, no.

"Oh?" Verity asked. "Did you have plans you wanted to add to that, too?"

[firstofitskind]

"Well, we could finish watching that scary show of yours..." Liam said. "Only I was thinking you could sit in my lap, this time."

[arboreal_priestess]

"Okay, but I want it clear that I stopped watching it because I got busy with other things and not because it was spooky," Verity declared.

...Weird how those 'other things' got cleared up now that Liam was people-shaped again.

"Either way, I plan to be in your lap pretty much all day, so, that's fair."

"Mmm," Liam said, tugging her close for another kiss. Because you could never have too many of those.

"So dinner, Netflix... that still leaves a few hours unaccounted for," he pointed out. "What shall we do to fill the time?"

"My vote is for trying to make up for two weeks' worth of sex," Verity said with a grin, because subtext was for other people. "Don't think I didn't notice you watching me change while you were cat-shaped."

“... Was I supposed to look away?” Liam asked, the very picture of innocence. It wasn’t like she made him look the other way when he was people-shaped!

"I mean, it was kinda weird wanting to do a sexy little striptease for a cat," Verity said, laughing in his arms.

God she loved doing that. And how often she found herself doing it.

"But now that you're you-shaped again, I'll give you all the sexy little stripteases you want." She nuzzled his throat.

It worked out pretty nicely, then, because Liam loved seeing her laugh.

"All?" he repeated. "That's a dangerous word, Verity Price."

[arboreal_priestess]

"You know me," she said, nuzzles turning into little kisses. "I like living on the edge. Why? Think I can't live up to it?"

"I would," Liam's breath hitched just a little, "Never. Imply such a thing."

[arboreal_priestess]

Verity pressed herself more tightly against him, ostensibly to reach more of his throat to kiss. "Good," she murmured. "You know I'm tenacious when I put my mind to it."

"S'a good word for it," Liam agreed. A beat, and then, "can I collect on one of those stripteases now?" he asked. As much as he liked seeing her wear his shirts, it had been two weeks, and he'd really rather see her out of it right about now.

"Do you really wanna striptease?" Verity asked, working her way up his throat to his jawline. "Or should I skip the teasing and get right to the stripping?"

Because, again. Two weeks.

"I do..." Liam admitted. "But maybe- maybe we could save that one for a bit later," he added.

[arboreal_priestess]

"I could hum and you could take the shirt off me?" Verity offered. "Compromise?"

"Works for me," Liam said, laughing.

[arboreal_priestess]

Verity grinned at him, starting to hum Beautiful, Dirty, Rich by Lady Gaga, hips on the bed shifting to the beat she could hear in her head. She rolled over onto her back, arms coming up first to encircle his neck and bring him in, and then reaching up to the headboard. Not to reach for a weapon this time, but to give him room to strip the tee off.

Did he recognize the song? No. Was that the important part? Also no.

He grabbed hold of the shirt's hem, lifting it up and over her head.
